how come , why
how come跟why中文意思一樣。how come比較口語化。
Why are you here alone?
How come you are here alone?
Why did you kill the cat?
How come you killed the cat?
這是因為how come原型是how does(did) it come that的簡化型式。

有,have no,there is no,don't have
There is(are) no...
S+ have no...
S+ don't have...
以上三種用法的差別很小,語意嚴格來分的話,「There is not」是一種客觀狀態的敘述,而「S. have no 」以及「S. don't have」是一種所有權的敘述。
I have no money to loan you.
I don't have money to loan you.
ex.
We have no money.
We don't have money.
We don't have much money.
You don't have any hair.
There are three people in my family.
My family has three people.

can,could,will,would,shall,should,may,might....
- what can we do
我們能做什麼 - what should we do.
- Could you give him a pencil and some paper?
Can you give him a pencil and some paper? - (打電話)Could I speak to ....?
May I speak to...
May I ask you a question?
May I go to the bathroom?
May I speak?(星艦迷航記,請求發言)
比較may和might
might 是 may 的過去式:
He might be at home.
would 是will的過去式
He will finish his work before 12:00.
She would never believe that he betrayed her.
He would have finished his job by 12:00.
here,there,倒裝句
Everything look new and wonderful in there .
It is so dirty in here.
It is so hot in here.
It is not cool there now, maybe I will live there.
- Let me get in here, will you, Hard-on? (get in是一起的)
- This is Tom's house, we can't go in here.
- We can go there next year.
- I don't want to go there.
- I don't want to go anywhere.
- We can't go anywhere because we have no money.
- You guy are still here.
- She will be here in an hour.
- Tell him I will be there.
Where is it? right here.
- Hey Franklin! Over here.
- Here we are. (不是倒裝句 =We are here.)
我們到了(某個地點) - Here I come. (不是倒裝句 =I come here.)
Here comes Mary.(Here She come.)
- Here comes the bus.
Here are some eggs, I find them.
Here are some cake for you.
Your glasses are here.
Your glasses are over there.
We can buy a ring there.
Take a look here.
其他
Here we go
等同於
let's begin
let's get it started
We've got a lot of thing to do,we don't have much time,so let's get started,please.
Here you go=Here you are
為何用in here
Where are you?
你在教室裡面答的話就是: I'm in here.
Where is he?
你知道他在教室裡的話答的就是: He's in here.
How long was I in there
How long was I there.
倒裝句(here)
1. Here comes the bus .
2. Here comes the teacher .(老師來了)
3. Here is the change .(找你零錢)
4 . Here are the books .(書本在這裡)
這個文法是說 : 以 here為首的句子 , 若主詞是代名詞 ( I , you ,he ,she ,they , it ...
1. Here it comes .
2. Here he comes.或是 Here she comes .
3. Here it is .
4. Here they are .
Here comes the bus . = Here it comes .

voice,sound
The girl has a beautiful voice.
They are talking in low voices.

afraid,scared,terrible,horrible,awful
I'm afraid of doctors.
I'm afraid of a dog.
I'm scared of a dog.
Are you afraid of cows.
Are you scared of cows.
I'm scared of everything, I'm scared to move, I'm scared to breathe, I'm scared to touch you.
It is scary when I see a ghost.
He was timid about investing money.
3、fearful
She was fearful of falling.
He was frightened out of life.
The terrified children ran home.
9. horrible terrible awful
It is really horrible, isn't it?(「實習醫生」提到某種秘魯料理,把魚剁碎,看起來很可怕的一道食物)
The first day of our trip is terrible.
You look terrible.
You two look awful.
ex: what he has done is terrible ...
ex: wat he has done is horrible..
Have to, Need to, Must to, gotta, got to的比較
Have to, Need to, Must to, gotta, got to都是表示必須的意思
have to = must 必須,但是must更強烈些
gotta = got to
例句:
- I got to go.
- You got to help me.
- Where do I have to go?
- My time is up, I must go now.
Q:『I got to go.』 或是 『I am getting to go.』?
ex: i got something to do
ex: i got the money
ex: i got to go = 我該走了 ( 表示已經有事情要做所以走了)
I get to go
i'm getting to go ,
got to = 應該做 / 需要作 = have to
i got to tell him not to go to the school today.
i have to tell him not to go to the school today.
i should have told him not to go to the school for today.
i was supposed to go ......
i was going to leave

what are you talking about?what did you say?
What did you say?
或
Could you say it again?
Can you say it again?
Mirror, mirror, tell me who is the most beautiful women.
You are the most beautiful women. But snow white is the most beautiful women of all.
What did you say?
What are you talking about?
因為what are you talking about?
What are you talking about?
但是what are you talking about?
what are you talking about?
