home是有生命有活力的家 ， 相當於一個統稱或者是泛指，飽含感情色彩，主要指一個人出生或居住的地方，房屋是其中的一部分，因而也有「家鄉、故鄉」的意思，它具有house所沒有的感情色彩（如「團聚」、「思念」等）。
home是副詞 go home 中間不加介詞to。

house
house更注重指房子， 房屋，指房子這個客觀實體，一般對家人所居住的建築物而言。
room
room它表示房間，和house比起來小了很多。一個house包括許多用途不同的room，比如kitchen, bedroom和bathroom等。
family
family更注重指家裡人、家庭、家庭成員，與居住的房子無關。
當family作為整體概念的「家庭」講時是單數；當「家庭成員」講時是複數，如：
