everyone,everybody

Good morning, everyone / everybody!

look,see,watch,read,meet

  1. Look! Tom is over there.

    也有人說have a look=take a look

  1. How many birds can you see in the tree?

Just follow me and you will see.
    I see = I got it = I get it

  1. nice to meet you 初次見面使用

search,look for,find,seek(找)用法

SEARCH
Search
Can you help me search for my glasses?

Can you help me search for a job?
The police searched for the missing boy.
He searched her face for some sign of forgiveness.

LOOK FOR
Can you help me look for my glasses?

I am looking for my sister!
I am looking for a job.

FIND
Can you help me find my glasses?
Can you help me find a job?
Can you help me look for a job?

I will find time to see you today.

SEEK

seek the true meaning of life 尋找生命的真諦
seek fame and wealth追求名利

Can you help me seek my glasses?

The police are seeking a man in connection with the killing last Thursday.

The police are searching for a man in connection with the killing last Thursday.
The police are seeking a man in connection with the killing last Thursday.

The police are looking for a man in connection with the killing last Thursday.

The police are trying to find a man in connection with the killing last Thursday.

eg.

I like hard chairs.

Don't be too hard on her.

eg.

Think hard and work hard.

What about與How about

What about...? 和How about...?

時,"How about" 和 "What about" 是可以互換的,亦即意思是一樣的:"How/What about a drink?" Where should we go on vacation?" "How about Hawaii ?" "What about Japan ?"

若是徵求意見或打聽消息,你只能使用 "What about":"What about the university?" (強調 about 這個字) -- 這是 "How about ...." How about those dogs?" Here are three jackets you might buy. How about the grey one?"。

I'm feeling hungry. How/What about you? How/What about a salad for lunch?

how about + V-ing?
How about taking a walk in the park?

how about + S + V

How about we take a walk in the park?

how about + if S + V

How about if we take a walk in the park?

How about you?Billy.

How about going to the movies?
What about going to the movies?
提出建議時,how about 及what about 均可。

A:Do you have something to eat?
B:I have oranges.
C:I have apples.
B和C問A
What about you?

What about your homework?

What about the second day.
How about the third day.
